Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the age of 14. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd built on this victory and began a 3 fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. Ladd returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous decision, putting a black mark on Ladd's records as an amateur. Ladd rebounded from her defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record up to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11, she defeated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in one round with a TKO. Her next bout was a win with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen then went on to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight at 138.1lb. Ladd was not in a position to make it, however, Aspen won and beat Hoy by TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by using the ground and pound strategy and earned a TKO 2nd round win. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was more spectacular. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the opening round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee, she fought Sijara-Eubanks for her first significant fight. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters receiving an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her winning streak. In the third round of UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a replacement last minute to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was lost by unanimous verdict.
