Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee in a manufacturing plant. Her birth date was 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Three siblings are hers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone was in second grade when she entered kindergarten at age five. Saegertown School located in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. She graduated in 1975. She was crowned Miss Crawford County, she also participated in the Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone was able to move back to New Jersey with her aunt in 1977, to take on a modeling job, signing up at the Ford Modeling Agency within a month. Stone soon moved to Europe, spending a year with her aunt in Milan and Paris. Stone was disillusioned by the modeling market in Europe but decided to concentrate on acting. At 20, she appeared in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories," which received mixed reviews.
